Our foundation is dedicated to improving the lives and livelihoods of communities in the lake basin region of East Africa. One of the ways we do this is through sustainable agriculture projects, including chicken rearing, beekeeping, and goat farming. These projects not only provide a source of food and income for participating families but also help to preserve natural resources and protect the environment.
Our poultry farming project is focused on helping smallholder farmers in the lake basin region improve their income and nutrition through the production of high-quality poultry. We provide participating families with chicks, feed, and training in best practices for chicken rearing. To date, our project has reached over 500 families and has helped to increase their income by an average of 20%.
Our beekeeping project aims to promote the sustainable use of natural resources and improve the livelihoods of smallholder farmers in the lake basin region. We provide participating families with beekeeping equipment and training in best practices and work with them to establish beehives and produce honey. In addition to providing a source of income, beekeeping has many environmental benefits, including promoting pollination and the conservation of natural habitats.
Our goat farming project is focused on helping smallholder farmers in the lake basin region improve their income and nutrition through the production of high-quality goats. We provide participating families with goats, feed, and training in best practices for goat farming. Goats are a valuable source of milk, meat, and fiber, and can be raised in a variety of environments. Our project has reached over 300 families and has helped to increase their income by an average of 15%.
